I started a new blogsite due to the fact that China blocks this host. You can get to the new one by either going to www.kate-reynolds.com or http://www.babyjellybeans.com/web/do/site/home?ID=648627 .
Thanks, Chris & Kim

Our final paperwork went to China today!!!
We got notification from Great Wall (our agency) today confirming that our final paperwork is on it's way to China. We have (mostly Kim, bless her heart) gone through a ton a paperwork to get to this point. Hopefully we will get to travel before the end of the year. For those of you who want the gory paperwork details, here's a snippet from our agency about today's notification:
"Hi Chris & Kim,
I am writing to confirm that I have received and processed your Letter Seeking Confirmation. Congratulations!
Your signed LSC and your child’s DS-230 will be mailed to China today 11/5/2010. Once our staff receives your paperwork, they will forward it to the U.S. Consulate.
The U.S Consulate is also required to sign an approval document, and they will only do so after they receive your child’s DS-230, the confirmation letter from NVC and your I-800/I-864W approval from the NBC. Once they receive all of this documentation, the consulate will issue what is called an Article 5. The Article 5 takes approximately weeks 2- 4 weeks to process. Our courier will pick this up from the consulate and forward it back to Beijing for delivery to the CCAA. If you are keeping track in this process, please remember holidays and mail shipment time can cause the processing to vary.
Once both your LSC and the Consulate’s Article 5 are at the CCAA, they will begin working with your child’s provincial Civil Affairs office to issue your Travel Approval or TA - this can take 2-4 weeks to process. Once we have the TA we will then determine your dates of travel and request your Consulate appointment. "
We are in the homestretch. It's been less than a year and according to our agency we are flying through the process. It sure feels like it's taking forever but I know it won't be too much longer.

Kate gets a playhouse!
We had a mini army of workers at the house to build a playset for Kate. We thought we could knock it out in an hour or two.....We were wrong. Some of these folks were here for many hours, and finished under the light of a flashlight beam at 7pm! We have the greatest friends - Kate will be so blessed.
Here is our Foreman. He had to be replaced. He had a bad attitude.

The next two were no better.
Finally Gigi & L-Cool got us started. We took it in shifts & eventually we got it built. Here are some shots.

Latest News
Hi all- today is Kate’s third birthday, and it turned out to be an amazing news day. Not only did we get our "log in date" with China, the agency received our "letter seeking confirmation" package this afternoon!! This is what we’ve been waiting for for 6 weeks, and apparently it came much faster than usual. It also means that we may have the opportunity to travel to China to get her before the end of the year!!
